Loved Rose Tattoo - saw them at the Ayr "Piv" (now a soft play centre) in Ayr back in 81 but I allus felt they started recording a coupla years too late, they couldabeen contenders as a bluesy Hard Rock outfit like their antipodal cousins AC/DC until Bon made the ultimate career move and went to join the Angels. Sadly they just didn't fit into the NWOBHM scene.

Of course ev'ry genuine rock icon needs one bonkers song!

Apologies if this is the wrong thread but I've noticed that a lot of rock/metal heroes from the late 70s & 80s are, ahem. making the transition.

Phil Campbell (64) from Motörhead inquest was yesterday, Conrad "Cronos" Lant (63) announced yesterday.

Whether you've gone upstairs or down RIP. headbang

Right off topic.

Talking of swan songs.

Mine might be, be,

"There I was and now am not and here I go,

It's just as well, I was getting so slow,

Here I go,..o,

Rockin' right out of this world"

Though, honestly, I'd rather keep the Status Quo!
