Killie vs Saints - 2/9/26

Featured Replies

Biggest game the club has faced since, well, today's game against Well.

Killie were 10th last season but that was due in part to them signing Finley Curtis from R@ng£rs at the end of January. Three points at Rugby Park would see us 10pts above them. This season's fashion seems to be about "being brave" and playing out from the back which currently we seem to do better than them.

Expecting another "white knuckle ride" but a victory for us would make the pegs McCann & Dodds jaikets are hangin' on even shooglier!

Mon the Saints!

Despite Kilmarnocks poor start to the season, they always seem a bogey team for us. I'm hoping with our new style of play we can get a result down there

Killie 0-1 Saints, full time. Not bad for a team full of shite signings and a shite manager according to the loon ball that is @Mr Optimistic 🤡🤡🤡 Only a screamer stopped us having 12 points but 10 w

  • That 1st half display is possibly the best 45 mins I have seen St Mirren play 👏 The 2nd half a different game but despite Killies dominance they actually had very few good chances A most enjoyable eve

Im becoming a bit of a broken record here about"early days" etc but this game could prove very important as we play Celtic then Rangers straight after this match.

Get the points and we've already created quite a cushion from the bottom teams.

The other bonus is they, Killie, don't have that plastic pitch, got to remove the advantage it gave them.

Early days indeed ; I stand by my opinion on the ugly sisters putting minimum 4/5 past us based on McLeish tactics however.

We seem as likely to concede as score

Can’t see a boring 0-0

Got to win games against the likes of Kilmarnock but definitely not lose if we want to avoid last seasons great escape

Going 2-2

Still a fledgling season with almost a new team. This is now predominantly McLeish's team. Or at least a team built with him at the helm.

His style of play is totally different from the previous, pragmatic incumbent.

I feel we are definitely better to watch if sometimes, for me, a bit naïve at times and too open.

The fact we seem to be more able to score more freely gives some hope. I don't think we're going to have many 0-0s so I will go, optimistically, for 1-3 Saints.

We'll be in a better position to say if our pre season opinions are true or not after the first set of games.

What we can say at this point is that the majority of supporters are pleased with the product on the park and as optimistic about the new players we've signed as they have been for quite a few years.

There's a minority who will never be happy but that's how they live their lifes. They will raise their toxic opinion every time there's a bump in the road then, as we've already seen, slither back under their rocks when we do well.

Just look at the Dunfermline and Rangers threads.

Time will tell, as usual.

Prediction time, Killie 0-3 Saints.

Sets us up well for the Old Firm double header coming up. 👍

There's no way Killie dont score.

Just like Motherwell were going to destroy us 🤔 for a saints fan you are so negative about your own team. Whats up mate did someone steal your dummy when you were a baby and you still haven't got over it?

Seriously happy with 7 points on board....Killie have been truelly rank but been a Saints fan too long to say we will win....we should yes ...good test...and lets keep the good times rolling

Killie dont have a point yet which is a worry as I believe in the law of Averages. We have been brilliant so far this season 7 pts from 9 . The real test to the fan base will be when we get our first bad performance and lose a game.

tell me that after we lose 2-0 tonight and half the fanbase want McLeish out 😀

You honestly think the fans are going to turn on the manager after one defeat? 🤪

I genuinely think the way the team is playing now is so much more entertaining than previous years even though some of them were a great time to be a saints fan. It's early days and the team are still settling into it (as we saw Saturday).

Hopefully entertainment will keep the trend of growing attendances and we can fill in the corners at some point due to demand.

The Forum Fruitcake now having a conversation with one of his ailases takes his madness to new levels!🤣 So few people can be bothered with him he's argueing with himself!🤣 Hey whatever gets you through the day I suppose!🤪
