March 10, 201511 yr Saw the May 2003 annular eclipse from Durness. Thousands of folk on beach and cliffs drew a breath when the Scottish weather played fair for once and the morning sea mist cleared just in time. The seabirds went totally silent as it darkened. http://www.caithness.org/fpb/may2003/photogallery/index.php?gallery=36ℑ=6 Reminds me to get my old "print" photos out from this and scanned. The upcoming one will be over 90% in the west of Scotland, 95% in the Hebrides. Let's hope for clear skies.

I met his second wife Liccy at a showing of James and the Giant Peach 2000 I think it was. The school I'm involved with struggle to get enough men to accompany groups of children to outings and as my son was going I got roped in. Liccy was touring with it, some kind of charity thing, and she spoke brilliantly. Kids ask all kinds of questions at it was fun to listen. She was a very attractive woman. Wish I could say I enjoyed the film but I didn't. For a guy of my age I have relatively young children by my second marriage and I've enjoyed loads of kids films and virtually everything by Walt Disney. But that movie left me cold.
