glenburn ed reacted to santaponsasaint in Season 16/17 Home & Away KitsI've seen them. There brill. I help design them lol. -
glenburn ed reacted to bud77 in Buy The BudsI disagree with that. A lot of these programmes are in some of the most deprived areas where there's very little for kids to do. I think the last figures showed a 75% reduction in street crime in certain areas where these took place. That means less police resources are needed, less vandalism to be cleaned up, possibly a reduction in injuries meaning savings for the NHS. I think that's all pretty much self funding - saving the taxpayer money.

glenburn ed got a reaction from linwood buddie in Season 16/17 Home & Away Kitssorry I don't know that, but while I agree with Shull about what a Saints strip should be, I defy anybody not to like the second strip, I think people will also like the other two. The fans council, and I'm not a big fan of them, have chosen well -

Haven't you read any of the posts in either the pre season Celtic take over of the shop and the more recent Rangers situation, to name but two issues as there have been many throughout the years, or are you saying these people, who said quite clearly they wouldn't renew season tickets, are lying?
These sort of statements lead me to think there could be considerable withdrawals for any similar decisions.
Anyone who thinks every decision taken by the proposed buyout will turn out to be all sweetness and light are delusional, to say the least as, you are well aware, football isn't a science. (Please try to inform Oaky of this)
I don't know how things will turn out, neither does anyone.
People who sell everything under this proposal as some sort of Disney film ending are being derogatory to the serious business that is at hand.
PS The Hearts model, being touted by some, is succeeding mainly because of the success on the field. I doubt we could emulate that, simply by the numbers they generate.

I'm sure you do believe but, as has been shown before, facts are better than peoples interpretation.
Anyway, things are a little clearer, many thanks for all the effort taken by a few today.
I've already said if I decide, or not, I will do it privately as I have no need to tell people my decision, one way or another, time after time or try to sway others.

Most of the above is very "whataiffery", which I suppose is the reality of this situation.
No real answers to many issues as the crystal ball shop has closed down and is now a charity shop.

St Mirren, Gordon and the decent folk from SMISA don't need you.

It's hard to see this working long term TBH but good luck to all involved in it.
Personally I no longer support the idea of fan ownership.
Fans simply can't be trusted.
They get too emotionally involved for too little financial cost to them personally - one minute they are crying with happiness after beating Morton and 3 days later that are blood vessel popping raging at one of our players over a tweet.
Too few fans have any concept of money and talk about players as though they are an investment instead of a base cost. This very basic misunderstanding of the Scottish game is the most worrying aspect of all of this.
The very last people you want running any business are those who wear their hearts on their sleeves.
They may THINK they are being passionate but they are nothing but overly emotional headless chickens who would cause untold turmoil.
Those who think these people would never get in control at St Mirren need to look at the quality of MSP and MP out there to know how easy it is for an absolute howler of a person to get into power.
I would rather have a solid, calm, personality-free and preferably non-Saints fan set of directors at the club who will run it as a proper business.
When we are losing games again we'll see people cancel direct debits in their hundreds. I have absolutely no doubt about that whatsoever.
Most fans simply do not want to watch or give money to a losing team - they simply lose interest.
So in addition to the few above who have given their reasons for saying No, the above are my reasons.
